New Year, New Me…

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much does that annoy you?? 10, yeah me too but I still find myself saying it every year. (then I remember how douchey it is and tell myself to never say it again)
“I’m going travel more” “I’m going to save more” “I’m going to be more spontaneous” Blah, blah, blah…
Kirsty and I have decided to jump on the ‘New Me’ bandwagon and guess what… your coming with us! (“woooopieeee” I hear you say)
Our chosen New Year Resolution; a personal favourite of mine “I’m going to lose weight and be super healthy”.
January is detox and start working on that (dare I say it…) summer body month, so to get us all prepped and ready to go I’ve got us a few apps to keep us on track. All of the apps I have selected are free but if your willing to spend a little then there are other options that might suit you better.
First up… Hydration.
The app is called Waterlogged.

This app allows you to chose your goal and monitor throughout the day to see how your tracking. You can set reminders at intervals of your choice to give you that wee nudge to get another glass down your neck.(glass of water that is, not vodka like you were all hoping) The app is pretty basic but lets be honest, what more would you want it to do?
Next, a specialist subject of mine… SLEEP!
Lots of things can effect how well you sleep… but then how well you sleep can effect EVERYTHING the next day. And trust me, you don’t want to speak to me when I’m tired (or hungry, but we’ll get to that later)

After you sign up to Sleep Better, save your stats and pop your phone on your pillow next you to. In the morning you can review information about your sleep pattern. The app also tells you stuff about what dreams mean and you can monitor how often you have good and bad dreams. This app has quite a few features, go take a peak.
Get your trainers on, its time to work out (ehh no sighing please!)
Hands up who has ‘no time’ to exercise? Don’t fret my friends, this 7 minute app is just for you. You are welcome.

If you have extra time you can select more than 1 circuit. (each circuit is 7 mins) You protein junkies out there probably wont love this, may be a tad easy for you but feel free to leave any recommendations in the comments. (once I’m ripped I’ll give it a go… LOLZ)
Ok, last, but most important (well most important to me cause I LOVE food) SparkRecipes.

This has everything and couldn’t be easier to navigate. You can browse by category i.e chicken, fish etc. Or you can select an occasion, like a birthday for example or you can which course i.e side dish or desserts. There’s even videos if you need an extra wee helping hand.
So, there you have it… 4 apps to kick start your 2016.
Kirsty and I are going to attempt to get ourselves looking and feeling better during January and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on our successes (and no doubts failures too) So stay tuned for recipes (don’t worry they’ll be simple ’cause neither of us can cook), the perfect gym outfit no matter your budget and we might even attempt to show you some super easy exercises to try in the comfort of your own home.
Love Emma xx
