Woopie; January is officially over. I’m not really one to suffer from January blues but uuuuftttt this one was tough and I’m glad to see the back of it. 

So what better way to say “Hello February” than a cheeky cocktail, a juicy steak and a good gossip with one of your besties. 

 Hope your hungry cause you’re in for a treat! We picked Grill on the Corner on Bothwell Street in Glasgow.

The twinkling lights in the windows are so pretty and set atmosphere just perfectly for any occassion; date night, girls night, birthday night or just a wee treat cause you deserve it. The staff are all lovely and super friendly… But enough of the ‘setting the scene’ let’s talk about the best bit… The food of course! 

  
To start I chose the spiced honey glazed chicken skewers. I took my first bite “mmm perfecto” It was just the right amount of sweetness and dipped into the chipotle mayo was simply sensational. Set me up nicely for what was to come…  

 Now, let’s be honest, you can’t go to Grill on the Corner and NOT get a steak… That would just be weird. 

Fillet, peppercorn sauce and chips… Let’s be having you!!! 

Oh don’t forget the side on onion rings. 

 
  
So juicy, even the medium/well done just melts in your month. (Yes, before all you mad steak lovers go nuts, I did get it medium/well done) I can’t deal with the blood on the plate… Creeps me out! 

It was cooked just exactly how I like it. (Oops, almost drooled just thinking about it) 

Now by this point I’m totally stuffed. I have a mega food baby and I literally can’t move but I just noticed there’s sticky toffee pudding on the dessert menu. Can I resist???

The smell, oh so sweet. The first bite, delish! I might go as far as to say it might be the best sticky toffee pudding Iv ever had… And let me tell you, I’ve definitely sampler my fair share. 

I now feel sick I’m so full, but I tell you this, I didn’t regret it one teeny tiny bit.  

 If you haven’t been to Grill on the Corner, I’d definitely recommend it. Make it a special occassion as it’s certainly not cheap. Huge thanks to my wee babe and one of my besties for treating me, love you lots!!!
