We don’t usually do promotional posts, HOWEVER my friend Joanne started up her own Etsy shop and when I saw the quality and amazingness of her work I could NOT hold out on you lot!

My absolute FAVOURITE are her custom  cards.  Send her on a drawing from any of your little cherubs and she’ll turn it into the cutest, most original card to really hit the spot for any birthday, Fathers day or with Mothers day coming up, you really can’t go wrong! Too cute!

And now, lets hear from the little lady herself…

‘Hi, I’m Joanne, the designer, craft addict and detail obsessive behind Love in an Invitation. Pictured beside me is my wee helper and partner in crime, Eve, who also loves to get her hands dirty in all the crafty goodness!

 My mum once told me that when I was wee she would give me a pencil and a note pad and it would be enough to pacify me for hours. The same can still be said till this day! 

 Creativity is something that has always been in me. I remember how excited I would get on Wednesday afternoon of every week for my favourite programme, Hartbeat. Tony Hart was my absolute childhood hero! He is the man who inspired me to no end. I learned so much from him and something I distinctly remember is his lettering techniques. My fascination for typography was born right there.

 My passion for art continued throughout both primary and secondary school. I am so grateful to my Art & Design teacher for seeing talent in me and encouraging me to go on and study Graphic Design at college.

College, unfortunately, was my downfall. I met so many new and amazingly talented people, I was in awe! I started to think my work wasn’t good enough and half way through the second year of my HND, I gave up. It is the biggest regret of my life. Maybe I was too young… I think, for me, confidence has come with age and life experience.‘

As you can see folks, Joanne’s passion is something that she pours into every project. Her prices are incredible and you will NOT be disappointed if you choose her for the next big event in your life. I for one, am super proud of her : )
