Belle Vie in the Big Apple

Being the super amazing girlfriend that I am *CheesyGrinEmoji* for my boyfriends (oh wait, I mean fiancés) birthday I treated him to a few nights in …

NEW YORK CITY!!!!!

I booked the trip waaaaaaay back in August and kept it a secret ’til his 30th birthday in November then finally last week we flew out.

Despite a super early rise to catch our flight we were BUZZING from the minute we got up! I’m always a bit anxious until I get checked in, then the holiday has officially begun. WOOP WOOP!!

The flight flew in (pardon the pun LOL) and it wasn’t long ’til we had a Starbucks in our hands (Starbucks in NY, so cliche I know!) and were on our way to the hotel.

I had butterfly’s with excitement. In the car journey I didn’t know where to look, everything was like the scene from a film.

We stayed in the Wellington Hotel on 5th Avenue, 57th Street. It’s soooooo close to Central Park. Check out the view from our window…

It rained non-stop for our first 2 days; huge pain in my ass ’cause it meant that it was mega foggy so the amazing views and beautiful skyline couldn’t be seen… Tickets to the Empite State building had to be put on hold, but just temporally.

Don’t you worry guys and gals I got some pretty amazing snaps for ya. Feast your eyes on these…

To get out of the cold and dry off our toes we headed up to Madam Tussads, just off of Times Square, to hang out with some A listers. It was weird, I kept thinking at any minute one of these are gonna move or grab me. Ha!!

Some of them looked sooooo real. Others, the celebrities have had so much work done since their wax model was made it doesn’t look like them now. Kim Kardashian was a perfect example.

How cute is Wee Ed??

After that we wondered round Times Square (something we done most days) before getting some dinner at Applebies.

New York is pretty HUGE. So once the rain and fog cleared up, eventually, we went exploring!

We done a lot of exploring actually, 33,896 steps in 1 day worth of exploring. (I checked my pedometer. My legs didn’t know what was happening to them)

The bus tour…(which, by the way, I would 100% recommend you do. There are different routes depending on what your interested in seeing and you can choose either 24, 48 or 72 hours tickets. Perfect for making sure you see everything you wanna see)

Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn… The views here were amazing and in the words of kirsty “it feels like there’s magic in the air”

SOHO (i.e go to Dash to see if my fav sisters are in town)

Of course Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Centre)  It was freezing up here but the view was totally worth it!

Central Park. The park is MASSIVE and as much as I would have loved to walk round the full thing, my wee legs were done by this point!

Grand Central Station

Serious picture overload?? Come on, it’s New York, every where you look is a perfect pic opportunity and I just HAD to take advantage.

There’s so much more that I wanted to do, but time ran out. The roof top bars… The shops…

Perfect excuse to go back sometime. Maybe in the summer though so I can maybe feel my toes.

Hope ya’ll enjoyed my NYC adventure picture post and I’ll catch you soon.

Lots of love Emma xxx
