When I think of The Body Shop, I simply think of body butter… And not much else. Agree?
Wrong!
We were invited to a blogger event at The Body Shop in Edinburgh to test some new products, have a bit of bubbly and learn a little more about The Body Shop brand and DAYUUUUM, were we blown away! It was NOT just a shop full of body butters…like not even one bit.

Ok…so there were SOME body butters-
but SO MANY more amazing products that we couldn’t WAIT to get our hands on!
For a few weeks I’ve (K) been intrigued by the new Oils of Life range by TBS and I was all set to buy until they brought out the even newer Drops of Youth range : /
Do I want life or youth?? It’s like Sophie’s choice up in here!!! So, like any product obsessed blogger- I went for both! Obvz.

I went for the Oils of Life facial oil for night time to give intense moisturisation in my sleep, and the Drops of Youth day cream to keep my skin hydrated and bouncy during the day! Emma went for the Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleep Mask, Concentrate and Eye Concentrate. All 3 came in a set together (stay tuned for our product haul review soon!)
The product that blew me away on the spot was this hand cream- anyone who knows me knows I’m ALWAYS down for a good hand cream! Behold my next purchase…

This hemp hand cream is an absolute dream! A little goes a LOOOONG way and the tube will literally last you months! It doesn’t leave sticky hands but you can feel the softness and protection from the second you put it on. Ladies, I am in LOVE!
The BEST thing about The Body Shop is that everything is cruelty free and we mean EVERYTHING! The ethics of the company are so evident when you speak to any of the staff and it’s clear that they genuinely live in and LOVE these products. It was really refreshing to test the products and have a helping hand from someone who truly knows the benefits of each one!
Who knew that The Body Shop had their own make up range? And I’m not talking a few lip glosses. I’m talking, like, the full shebang!
My eyes lit up when I spotted rows and rows of foundations and bronzers and cheek tints and lips colours. (and more, but I’m sure you get where I’m going with this) I wanted it ALL!

A lovely lady called Yvonne showed us some samples and done some colour swatches and they honestly looked gorgeous. The cheek tint is something I’m definitely going back for; and a wee tip she showed us was to put a few drops on your brush rather than straight on your face to get the most blended natural finish. Beaut!!
That’s not all ladies. Yvonne told us about a few products they are currently working on that should be released pretty soon, so their amazing range is growing. Something for everyone.
Our trip to TBS has 100% changed my perception of their brand and I was genuinely impressed by the quality of what I saw and the knowledge and passion of their staff. We were made to feel so welcome and I didn’t feel like I was being ‘sold’ to. Obviously a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a wee purchase of some body butter, for old times sake. Which, by the way, my skin has thanked me for ; )
Hope you’ve spotted something that will brighten up your make up bag or give your skin routine a wee spring shake up and if you do pop in for some treats, don’t forget to sign up to their points card.
Lots of Love Emma & Kirsty xx
