Hey beauts!

Working in the centre of Glasgow has it’s perks, ESPECIALLY when it comes to lunchtime! You can literally eat anything your heart desires and  yesterday our hearts desired some top notch, down and dirty Mexican street food *swoons 

Topolabamba on St Vincent Street has my favourite lunch menu but beware….you are gonna eat WAY more food than you plan too honey…cancel all afternoon meetings, coz you’re gonna need a nap…

Ok, so for £9:95 you choose 1 dish from each section and they are ALL delish!

*Real Talk interlude

So we sit down to order and were engrossed in our chat -work, Belle Vie, makeup whatever, I cant even remember at this point because our waiter Jamie strolled on up and became the best looking thing I’ve set eyes on in 2016. Well played homeboy, well played indeed! Emma and I MAY have asked some additional questions about the menu and some recommendations just to keep him around for a bit (lame but whatever). Jamie clearly knew his stuff so we pretty much just ordered everything he said….and DAYUUUUM the boy did good.

These shredded beef tostadas were legit, a little slice of sex in your face. Absolutely incredible! With spring onions and chipotle aioli and a sprinkling of crumbly cheese you will just LOVE them!

Next up, I (K) went for The Baja torta and FML it was insane!

This absolute BADDIE is filled to the brim with chipotle mayo, pico de gallo, chicken tinga and shredded lettuce. I loved it. LOVED IT. The perfect level of sweet and spicy, just enough bang for my buck. I want to eat this every. single. day.

I (E) had the Chicken Tinga Quesadillas (there were actually 3 but I got a little excited and forgot to get snap happy before getting this chicken spicy goodness in my face)

I love a quesadilla but have found in the past that most restaurants don’t offer, you know, that little something special. Not today guys & gals, Topolabamba got it right on the money with the perfect balance of spice and flavour and mmm’ness!

A little bit of drool may have escaped my lips… sorrynotsorry! (Not cause of Jamie, behave you lot!! It was cause of the food obvs)

Not only a brilliant place for lunch, Topolabamba is an amazing night out. The cocktails are delish, and it’s got perfect laid back and fun vibes for a first date.  They also have a huge range of tequila- which is also helpful on a first date since tequila makes everyone better looking  ; ) oh and clearly the recruitment team deserves a shout out since there is not one server in there who aint good looking.

Try it out! if not for The Baja or the tequila, at least for the talent : )
