Helloooooooooo lovelies!
Usually we wouldn’t hit you with two food posts in a row however we got something today that will blow your wee socks off and a sneaky wee surprise at the end. Intrigued? Follow us…
On Thursday night we attended a bloggers night for Smoke on West Regent Street in Glasgow (right at the back of Forever 21) and holyyyyyyyy shit are we glad we went! Smoke have restaurants in Sheffield and Leeds and on the 11th April 2016 they decided to give beautiful Glasgow a slice of their open fire pit barbeque-ey goodness!
As you walk in to the huge high ceiling-ed building it gives an industrial vibe but so warm with some lovely quirky details- you kinda fall for it instantly! We were obsessed the cloud of lights!

We sat down to peruse the menu, snacked on some cajun spiced popcorn (LOVE) and ordered us up some drinkos…


They also offer a wide range of cocktails, buckets of beer (we had some samples of beer and it was delightful) and of course wine…unfortunately it was a school night though so we couldn’t indulge!
Of course no bbq would be complete without lashings of bbq sauce and you can take your own Smoke sauce home for your gargen bbq’s for only 4 bucks!
After a wee while, our hostess came with the biggest, most gargantuan platter of fire cooked bbq meat and our eyes widened with glee. Behold mofos…..
But what is this mountain of masterfully crafted meat Kirsty? I hear you ask, well babes; we got oursevels a big ole turkey leg, we got slow cooked brisket, we got St Louis ribs, a jalepeno cornbread muffin, a cheeky wee pulled pork slider, chicken thighs, some pickled slaw, outrageous sausage and to juice it all up a little honey mustard & regular honey…. hot diggity damn just LOOK at it!!!!!!!!! 
It absolutely blew us away! Lemme talk ya through each and every bit honey-
First, the turkey leg! This reminded me of the big turkey legs you get in Walt Disney World except they are much bigger and cooked with love! The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy. Smokey and fresh- delish!
The brisket was my absolute FAVE- I slathered it in Smoke bbq sauce and literally groaned in ecstasy after every bite. Anyone who’s ever had a real life conversation about food or had dinner with me will know I get pretty vocal (sex noises) about exsquisite food, and honey it was like When Harry Met Sally up in thurrrrr! Soft and tender, an absolute dream.

Now, Emma and I aren’t big rib girls. A rib lover will know that the majority of the flavouring and bite is in the fat, which we don’t really like HOWEVER, we gave these ginormous ribs a try and can confirm that any rib lover will be ecstatic to get down and dirty with these badboys!!
The jalepeno cornbread muffin is a surprising one, muffin-y while you eat it and then slowly but surely a little bang for your buck aftertaste!
The sausage blew me away- it was in bite size chunks and every mouthful packed powerful sausagey ,smokey and a little sweet flavours that made my tastebuds reallllll happy!
The pulled pork slider was EXCELLENT. The pork was drippy with a great texture, went brilliantly with the pickled slaw and was a dream with the Smoke bbq sauce.
Last but not least the chicken thighs were perfection. Crispt on the outside but the flavour was packed deep into the meat- outrageous and divine.
Ok so by now as you can imagine, we’re feeling pretty spanked (the lengths we go too for you babes really is commendable). I’m ready to burst out snoozing at any moment and our server brings us a surspise dessert platter. I wanted to cry and I’m not sure if it was good cry or ‘if I eat anything else Im going to die’ cry.

We got- Dime cheesecake, Smores, Brownies & Salted caramel ice cream.
My favourite were the smores- for any of you not familiar with this American campfire classic it’s generally melted marshmallow & chocolate over some sort of biscuitey brilliantness!
The salted caramel ice cream was a welcome burst of frozen sweetness to joooozch our palates up after the meaty mayhem we just survived.
The brownie was soft and delicious from the little taste I had and normally I am ALL about a glorious cheesecake but by this point I was DEED! I did have the tiniest bit of the dime cheesecake and it was THICK, soooo rich and tasty but baby if you want to indulge in these wonderous desserts, go easy on the meat!!! Learn from my mistakes!
Jeeeeez, I feel full just writing about it all! What we can say with 100% confidence is that we WILL be back. The service was soooo amazing and every member of staff was fun and friendly- we loved them.
So now that your tastebud are tantalised let me hit you with the kicker- Smoke will be giving away FREE food this Thursday 28th April from 12pm!!!!! Thats right free, gratis, zilcho!!!! My advice sweetcheeks is that you get there on time coz I will be front of the queue ready to get my Smoke fix!
