Summer Sessions; Altinkum, Turkey

Summer holiday time is finally here!!! Get  your bikinis packed and your body on fleek baby and let’s go!!!!

This summer we have a few holidays planned so thought it would be cute to give you all the low down on our Summer 2016 destinations; Turkey, Malta, Greece & Vegas. It’s gonna be a busy few months honey- grab your passport and follow me…

Ok, so not to get all serious on you or anything BUT, everytime I told someone I was going to Turkey this year (and last) they looked at me like I had lost my damn mind.  Sadly the world is a different place these days and it has some people afraid- understandably so, but if you think sharing a border with Syria makes Turkey the worlds most dangerous place then darlin, think again.

Turkey does sit in a list of High Threat areas along with the UK (home not so sweet home eh?), France, Belgium, Germany and Spain – all FILLED with Brits every summer but somehow Turkey seems to getting the worst wrap with Thomas Cook cancelling up to 800,000 seats this summer alone.Altinkum is approx 1,232kms from the border and quite honestly the BEST beach holiday destination I’ve ever been. So if I’m gonna be a sitting duck either way darlin, I’d rather be there! Sorry babes, I had to get the serious bit out the way- now for fun times  : )

This is the second time I’ve been to Altinkum and there were a couple of things that drew me back. It has everything I want-such a relaxed atmosphere during the day and everything you need for a good time at night (pubs, clubs, fishbowls and hotties). Secondly, I was really struck by how friendly everyone is- literally walk down the beach front once and from then on the people will remember your name and always bend over backwards to make you happy- it really blew me away! Some people even remembered us from last year- insane!!! Its the only place I’ve been on holiday that I 100% felt safe at night time- and thats a big thumbs up for me.
The first day we went to a Turkish Bath to get our skin prepped for the 30 degree heat and OH MY GOD I adored it! (No pics sadly as my phone would have got wrecked!) For approx £40 we spent 4 hours getting full body mud masks, exfoliation scrubs, foam massages (this was a dream) and oil massages. Honestly, I was in heaven and would DEFINATELY recommend to get you prepped for the deepest tans!

Next up- BOAT TRIP TIME! There are alot of boat trips to choose from but we always go for Paradise Boat. The staff are hilarious, the music is bangin and it’s genuinely my favourite way to spend a day!

For 40 lira (£10) they pick you up, take you to the boat, give you lunch and for 6 hours you sail about stopping at different bays, and the breeze on the sea makes it the PERFECT tanning time ; ) They also have guys on speedboats that zoom out with fresh fruit and ice cream. We took a ride on the speedboat (for just £6) and it was AMAZING!

Ok- boat trip is done and now its time for food and fishbows- aint no place better than Urban Bar.

Just recently opened a few months back Urban is without a doubt my favourite bar for food and drinks. The staff are incredible and the decor is so well thought out with so many little quirks that you notice something new each time you go!  So much time and effort has been put into every little detail and it really sets Urban Bar on a higher scale than anywhere else.

The food is absolutely delicious and the jager fishbowls will seriously set you up to party all night- perfection! Check them out on Insta : )
Last but not least is Ege Bar- this is where you dance your little butt off till 3am every night and it’s a perfect way to round off your day.

The staff and brilliant (spotting a theme here?) and will keep you topped up and up dancing all night. They also have breakdancing shows each night and who doesn’t wanna watch hot guys with no top on flipping around? I certainly do ; )

So there you have it babes, my fave fun times for your next trip to Altinkum.

It’s also home to the Temple of Apollo and if you want to feel magic in the air, I strongly suggest you go see it. It honestly took my breath away- truely incredible.

I genuinely love this place and what you’ll find is that once you’ve gone once- no other beachy holiday will quite feel the same. This place steals a little bit of your heart and I genuinely can’t wait to get back : )

Till next time sweetcheeks,

Kirsty xx
