Hey beauts,
G-Town has become a bit of a burger warzone of late with countless and I mean COUNTLESS places all trying to out do one another to take that beefy crown- so how does a London born chain stack up against our home grown burger boyos? Let’s find out baby….

Byron Hamburgers have locations ALL over the UK- 2 in Edinburgh, 1 in Aberdeen and not too long ago set up shop on West Regent Street in Glasgow. Having tried it 2 years ago in Laaaandan Town I knew it was worth a revisit!
Byron’s burger philosophy (yes, thats a thing babe) is to keep it simple. High quality burgers, with the classic trimmings, served in a squishy bun. They do it simple, so they gotta do it right!
The menu has a good spread of offerrings, something for everyone! I opted for a root beer (which is always delish) while I decided on my lunch…
I was feeling like I wanted a little bit of sweet with some kick (it was Friday babyyy) so I opted for the B-Rex. B-race yerself honey…
With an onion ring, streaky bacon, jalepenos, cheese, pickles, onions, bbq sauce and mayo this wee baddie did not disappoint! I cut up the pickle on the side and added for a bit more sweetness and a little more juice (you gotta have juice on dat meat gurl). Despite its height and stacking, the burger maintained its integrity pretty well as I ascended upon it with feverish hunger- which was great because I hate going back to work with half my lunch on my top, face, eyebrows ya know? It was delicious!
The rest of the troops went for different options- The Byronaldo-

This is their special at the moment and has bacon, cheese, bovril onions (?! surprisingly intriguing) crispy onions, bread and butter pickles and mustard. I have it on good recommendation that this was awesome! Byron also give back- for every Byronaldo (or whatever the special is when you visit) and they’ll provide a meal to a child in poverty- the perfect reason to visit!
We also got a Classic Chicken – (lettuce, tomato, onion and Byron sauce)

And the Smoky- cheese, bacon, onions, lettuce, pickles and smoked chilli bbq sauce (this is what I’m getting next time!)

Everyone was super happy with their choices and Byron nailed the simplicity done to perfection!
But wait- where’s your side Kirsty? I hear you ask??? Fear not babes- this trio of chippies were the perfect addition to any Byron beaut..

Sweet potato, cheese and bacon, and classic- you can’t go wrong! Get a chipotle mayo to compliment them- its deeeeeeeeelish!
Belt loops unfastened and food babies in full swing we headed back to work with meat sweats and fond memories ❤
As someone who pretty much lives for a burger I can definately appreciate Byrons quality and execution of simple burgers done well. Is it the best I’ve ever had? No. Does it stack up against the competition of say a Bread Meats Bread (Review Here) or my all time Burger Bae El Perro Negro (Review Here) ?? Absolutely not. Byron aren’t out there to have the super distinctive ingredients or have you elbows deep in ALL the burger mess and juicyness- but if you wanna bat in the burger little leagues and treat yourself to a classic style burger thats gonna hit the spot oh so good, then Byron’s yer destination!
Till next time sugartits,
Kirsty xxx
