Pizza Punks

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know of the buzz in Glasgow surrounding the hottest new place to satisfy all yo pizza needs….welcome Pizza Punks.

You didn’t think the Pizza Queen would have missed it did you?  Course not…let’s eat baby..

St Vincent Street’s new kid on the block has opened with a bang serving up some hot slices of carby, cheesy brilliantness for in house dining or to take away…directly across from my real life job, I’m taking it as a sign : )

So what makes Pizza Punks any different from your regular pizza pie house?  Well my sweet, they’ve decided to put you in the driving seat and create a ‘build your own’ menu fit for a King (or Pizza Queen)  Punk Up your Pizza- £9 and you can load that baby up with AS MUCH as you can handle.  Giving you unlimited choices and concoctions to keep your visits there as fresh as the doughy goodness that you are about to consume…here’s your options sugar…

Of course you can also order from the standard menu…but where’s the fun in that eh?

Over the past few weeks your Facebook, Twitter and Insta will have been bombarded with pics of the interior of this gaff and for good reason.  It looks awesome : ) The neon signs are perfection and give the place a cool vibe with just a smidgen of hipster- and we can all handle just a smidgen of hipster ; )

Right, let’s get down to business…dinner is served…

So what would you order if you had unlimited amount of choices?  Well if your my homegirl and Bae of life Tricia, you’ll order pepperoni and red onion- YOWZA.  I was lost for words.  I still am lost for words.  Looks good none-the less but she is definitely OFF my pizza blog invite list (sorry babes, love you).  As I sat there with disappointment in my face and my jaw on the floor, she tucked into this baddie and had only great things to say about it…

Next up…the KBang special*

*it’s not actually called that…but if you’re reading this Pizza Punk owner- I do think that has a nice ring to it, don’t you?  ; )

Sourdough base, san marzano tomato sauce, lemon thyme roast chicken, nduja and chorizo sausage, chipotle and chocolate pulled pork, red onions and peppers- behold my babies…things about to get real sexy up in here!

I feel I may have went a little overboard with the toppings as my slices struggled to maintain their integrity when I lifted them (resulting in a rather fetching grease stain from a rogue chicken bit)  but outfit ruiners aside- the pizza was LOVELY.

The sourdough is so light, that even after demolishing the entire pizza, I didn’t feel sluggish and had no sign of a food baby (thankfully- as I was wearing a pretty tiny, stomach baring top).

I also went back for lunch a second time and tried their gluten free base option (£2 more).  Granted it didn’t look quite as majestic as it’s gluten-y counterpart but still a great shout for all my coeliac/ intolerance suffering homeboys/girls.

Unfortunately, I was driving so I couldn’t indulge in one of the MANY cocktail options- but I do have it on good authority that the cocktails are the bomb- so don’t rule out Pizza Punks for your next piss up.  The bar area is SO cute and hosts some more electric sex for your eyes…

Oh, and you even get a cute wee badge with the bill- LOVE.

Pizza Punks lives up to the hype- A casual and cool place to fill your belly and get your juices flowing before a night on the town. Rivaling Paesano as my fave Glasgow pizza place, I MAY have to visit both again for the ultimate decider…and you can rest assured sweetcheeks, you’ll be the first to know who wins.

Check out the full menu on their website or hit them up on Facey.

Till next time baby,

Love KBang x
