Welcome back to Vegas baby! Hope you’re all caught up on volume 1 (if not, it’s here!).
As the sun rose on our first FULL day in Sin City, you bet your ass we were ready to make this day ours! The sun is shining and we are ready to go….up and at em bitchez!
So it’s 8am, and our minds are absolutely spinning with what to do- how the hell are we gonna fit this all in? We took in some sights while we looked for somewhere to eat…as we walked past White Castle, my stomach sank as I’d always wanted to try there (if Harold and Kumar will go to those lengths for those wee burgers, I wanna be involved). Let’s face it though, it aint exactly fine breakfast dining is it? By fate or act of God (does he care about burgers as much as me?) we ended up heading back to White Castle *internal fistpump it was exactly as I expected…tiny package of double slider goodness and the perfect way to start my day. I added the Tru Moo coz it was still breakfast ya know?

Right, slider spanked it was sightseeing time- we were heading up to New York New York to do the rollercoaster and took in some beaut Strip scenes on the way- Paris is legit to die for…
The Venetian ❤

and of course the Bellagio always looks stunning…
We arrived at New York New York, had a scurry around, ate a pizza slice (God damn they do a good pizza slice) searched around Hersheys, ate cookies and went on the rollercoaster. The great thing about it is its built around the outside of the building you get some great views in between corkscrews and the upside downs : )
Heads in a spin and legs like jelly, we hauled ass back to Caesars to get picked up for our Grand Canyon trip!
When the blacked out van came to pick us up I was a bit uh cagey- but then Jeffrey (our driver) slid that door open, we couldn’t have been happier! Cooler full of drinks, huge leather seats, every seat had its own iPad and I got to be in charge of Spotify (it’s ma burfffday!!) we danced, sang and rapped our way to the helicopter airport and had the BEST time! We love you Jeffrey!

We suited and booted and got in the helicopter- I had little butterflies in my stomach because it was my first time in a copter but Cole our Pilot was so lovely that we all felt in safe hands. Ground control to Captain Cole- let’s get these Scottish broads to da GRAND CANYON baby!

We flew for about 40 minutes taking in so much- Cole gave us wee facts as we flew but honestly I can’t remember anything because I was in awe…it was incredible!
Cole’s ipod was on shuffle and just as we were coming to the canyon one of my favourite songs in the whole world ‘Strawberry Swing’ by Coldplay (not a well known song by any stretch) came on completely at random as the canyon sprawled out before my eyes. You know sometimes in life you just have one of those ‘moments’; where nothing can touch you, nothing in life matters except right now, where everything just comes together and everything just feels perfect. The view, the song, the company- all the stresses of the past few days melted away and I will never forget the feeling of those few moments. I had tears in my eyes and my heart was full, one of the happiest times of my entire life. Utter perfection.

We took ALOT of pics (add my real life FB to see them all HERE) had some lunch and Cole told us all about life there for the tribes who own the land and how it all works. It was so interesting and honestly, sitting there it felt like we were the only 5 people in the whole world. I genuinely can’t explain how much I loved this. I teared up and have tingly’s just writing about it. If you go to Vegas and do NOTHING else, make sure you do this. We booked through Serenity and they are just phenomenal.
Headsets back on, wine finished, we piled in to the copter and headed back to civilisation for the evenings festivities!
We didn’t have time for ‘food food’ so we popped down to Earl of Sandwich for dinner and holy shiiiiiiiit was it a good idea- chicken avocado with chipotle sauce is genuinely the best hot sandwich I have ever eaten. Do it. Don’t fight me on this, DO IT!
We headed off to a Legends show (Nicolas choice) in Flamingo – Elvis, Tina Turner, some country guy and a few others. As you can maybe tell it wasn’t really my thing but Nicola loved it and thats the main thing! Plus my shoes were crippling me, so sitting down for an hour supping on some white wine was fine by me : )
Next up we had some drinks, spoke to some random Americans (lets face it, as soon as they hear our accent they are ALL ABOUT US!) we went to the Palms for some Hooters action (shout out to the pregnant Hooters girl who was the only one on shift at 2am- wee soul) gambled a little, cashed out a little more ; ) and hit up Coyote Ugly! Coz u know, it’s COYOTE UGLY baby!

They give ya free shots if you dance on the bar (kudos to Stepharino for shaking her wee shimmy) we watched some awkward Americans make out and ‘dirty dance’, had a little boogie and searched to no avail to find Leann Rimes. Quick pizza slice (our second of the day #soznotsoz) , and home to bed. WHAT A DAY!!!!!!
Honestly I was only going to do 2 volumes of Vegas but I didn’t quite realise just HOW much I needed to say!
As wee taxi’d back to Caesars, thoroughly exhausted and truely content that we had finally, FINALLY got some legit Vegas experiences under our belts I melted into my pillow, already excited with anticipation about tomorrow…we decided tomorrow is my ‘official’ birthday celebration and we have some pretty spectacular plans.
Sweet dreams from Vegas my beauties… come back next week for thrill rides of a few different varieties ; )
Honey, we goin to da strip club.
Love KBang xxx
